Dr. Jason was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, and moved to Omaha in 1992. He attended Creighton University Campus Pharmacy and the University of Nebraska Medical Center and specialized in critical care medicine. He is a father to two teen-age children, Corrine and Oliver, aged 17 and 14. Jason has always been an advocate for health care and sees Asha’s House as an opportunity to provide better access and support for vulnerable patients.
Born in Omaha, Rick graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Political Science. He has two boys Mark and Jacob, both attending the University of Nebraska. Rick currently works for Numotion, a provider of complex rehab technology. He is a certified Senior Advisor and Aging-in-Place Specialist and owned his own business, “Safe & Sound Home Modifications” for ten years.
Born in Omaha, NE, Sherri obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Dana College and Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Peru State University. She has worked in Title1/Chapter 1 education and spent the last twenty-seven years in Administration and Sales in Real Estate. She is a happily married woman with five children, one with special needs.
Martine received her MBA from the University of Wisconsin. She earned her CPA in both public and private accounting in 1995 and has been working in this field for twenty-five years. She is also the President and Founder of the Land Trust Network, a nonprofit specializing in land conservation for both the public and private sectors.
Lindsay graduated from the University of Kansas and joined Koenig Dunne, PC, LLO in 2016, focusing on family law at the University of Nebraska College of Law – she was awarded both degrees with distinction. Before joining Koenig Dunne, her legal career was in the areas of child advocacy. She is currently Vice-Chair for the Family Law Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association and a board member for the Anti-Defamation League
Miriam obtained her undergraduate degree from Marquette University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Concordia University. She taught in an elementary charter school for ten years and continues to work with children through the Boys & Girls Club of America and through church ministry. She has one son, Ricky, and two grandchildren, Marlon and Britain.
Ravi Chaudhuri was born in Pittsburg and graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in History and a minor in Indian studies. He is a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and has attended ROTC at Ohio State University. He is also a volunteer at Nisonger Center, mentoring young adults with Autism or other developmental disabilities.
Born in Milwaukee, WI, Sharon Chaudhuri was a stay at home mom for twenty-seven years with two kids, Asha and Ravi. Asha, unfortunately, left this world at the age of twenty-five and Ravi is twenty-four years old. She spent twenty-five years caring for her disabled daughter. Sharon ran a successful catering business in Hastings for four years, and now she is working on Asha’s House to build something she couldn’t find for Asha when she was alive – a place to belong.
